The crystal white blank on the surface seems to have a thin layer of oil color, and the white crystal is blue and white; while the artificial crystal looks dry and white. With touch: natural crystal is cool and greasy; artificial crystal does not. Test hardness: The hardness of natural crystal is higher than that of artificial crystal and glass. Observe the appearance: the natural crystal is crystal clear and moisturized.

If the two scratch each other, problems will also be found.

Check the color: natural crystal is formed naturally, its color crystal paper is uneven, and the same object will also have color difference, and there may be small impurities or silky traces during the period; and artificial crystal or glass products have the same color and high purity .

Another characteristic of distinguishing natural crystal from synthetic crystal is the luster of crystal. The surface of natural crystal jewelry shows grease luster, but the surface of synthetic crystal jewelry shows glass gloss, and there is no synthetic crystal with grease gloss.

Although crystals are not precious stones, they are more and more popular among men, women and children all over the world due to their unparalleled medical effects and low prices. As a crystal lover, he wants to have all kinds of crystals, whether natural or synthetic, but he must want to know whether his crystals are synthetic or natural.

A large number of synthetic crystal necklaces have appeared on the gem market, including common colorless crystals, brown series (including smoke and ink) crystals and purple series (including light purple, gray purple, dark purple) necklaces There are also crystal necklaces in the yellow series (light yellow, yellow, golden yellow) and crystal series in the green series (yellow green, light green, dark green, dark green) that are not common to people. They add a lot of style to ladies with good quality and low price. However, some crystal merchants are reluctant to admit that their crystals are synthetic and often sell synthetic crystal necklaces as "natural crystal necklaces". For this reason, it is necessary to identify whether it is a synthetic crystal necklace or a natural crystal necklace.

Colorless crystal necklaces and tea crystal necklaces on the market today can be described as a mixture of natural and synthetic, while most of the colorful crystal necklaces are synthetic crystal. There are fewer real natural crystals, and fewer are used to make necklaces.

The biggest feature of the synthetic crystal is that it has daughter crystal nuclei. It is better to judge if the synthetic crystal has a crystal nucleus, because the crystal nucleus is generally a colorless long plate columnar, and the boundary line with the surrounding synthetic crystal is clear. But recently some colorless synthetic crystals on the market, because the crystal core and synthetic crystal are colorless, plus some natural inclusion characteristics in the crystal core or some bubbles between the crystal core and the synthetic crystal, making some inexperienced People are easily mistaken for natural crystals. Upon closer inspection, the inclusions in the crystal nucleus only exist in the sub-nuclear pillars, and there is a feeling that they are intercepted by an invisible wall around them without breaking. The bubbles between the crystal nucleus and the synthetic crystal are distributed along the crystal nucleus wall, forming "bubble walls" parallel to each other. Some bubbles are in the shape of tadpoles, with their heads lining out toward the wall and tail. In natural crystals, there are often group inclusions arranged along a face, but this face is often single and undulating, and the inclusions that make up the face are mostly found as two-phase inclusions under the gem microscope. Not just bubbles. The difference between the two is obvious.

The second characteristic of synthetic crystals, especially colored synthetic crystals, is the uniform color. The color of the entire necklace is more uniform, especially the yellow crystal series and the brown and black synthetic crystals. The natural yellow, brown, and black crystal colors are often not uniform. Natural crystal is not only uneven in color, but also often has a hue of tea (except for the brown crystal). What is more interesting is that under the incandescent lamp at night, the yellow crystal does not bring a little yellow, completely like the brown crystal, it is not good if mixed with the tea crystal identify. The synthetic citrines I have seen are all pure and uniform in color, with some individual shades darker, but without tea shades, and will not change color under incandescent lamps at night.

It is worth noting that in synthetic amethysts, there are often some dark purple flakes with better orientation, which are easily reminiscent of the characteristics of irregular flake chromophores in natural amethysts. The biggest difference between the two is that the deep purple chromophores in the synthetic amethyst are arranged in a nearly parallel flake, with little difference in size and shape, and the boundary is obvious. The natural amethyst chromophore is random and irregular, with shades of shades, and the boundaries are gradual. If the dark purple sheet in the synthetic amethyst is likened to a floating "purple cloth sheet", the purple cluster in the natural amethyst can be regarded as a floating "purple smoke cluster". This is the main difference between the two.

Natural colored crystals, especially amethyst, also have a characteristic, that is, there are hexagonal ribbons like sapphire. It is interesting to note that recently, some synthetic green crystals often have parallel color bands, which develop parallel to each other along the walls of the daughter crystal nucleus. I have also seen a string of synthetic green crystal necklaces, which appear in yellow and green alternately, much like the ribbon of natural crystal, plus some brown translucent solid impurities inside, it is easy to be mistaken for natural green crystal, but the synthetic crystal is formed The ribbon is distributed parallel to the wall of the sub-nucleus, straight and without angles. The necklace made of the entire series of crystal ribbons changes uniformly. The color bandwidth of each grain is narrow and the color changes the same. Unnatural feeling.

The third characteristic of synthetic crystal is clean and flawless. Natural crystals often contain inclusions and cotton, while synthetic crystals are crystal clear. Some synthetic crystals have bubbles or some solid impurities. Recently, some synthetic crystals often have triangular long tubular air holes, and there are green or red powder in these air holes. The characteristic of this long tube is that it is arranged in parallel in one direction, the cross section is triangular, and there are often uneven green or red powders distributed along the wall, the middle is often empty, and the end of the long tube has a tendency to become sharp. The real natural crystals are crystals containing tourmaline, actinolite, rutile and other minerals, each of which has its own crystal form, such as the "slubby" form of actinolite. They are wrapped in crystals, randomly arranged without direction, thick and slender and short, and often accompanied by the inclusions and cottons inherent in natural crystals.
